Cable management that still works when the desk moves
Treat the desktop as the moving unit, attach power where appropriate, and protect the final cable run through the full travel range.
1. Map every connection
List devices, power bricks, data cables, and the route to the wall. Remove unused cables before adding clips or sleeves.
2. Separate moving and fixed zones
Monitors and chargers move with the desktop. Wall outlets do not. The transition needs controlled slack.
3. Keep desktop power together
When manufacturer guidance allows it, mounting a suitable power strip beneath the desktop reduces the cords traveling to the wall.
4. Route away from mechanisms
Keep cables clear of lifting columns, crossbars, gears, and sharp edges.
5. Test slack at both limits
Move the unloaded desk slowly to its lowest and highest positions. Nothing should tighten, snag, drag, or pull a plug sideways.

Leave room for maintenance
Label uncommon cables and keep connectors reachable. Recheck whenever equipment changes.
